Up for sale is an authentic, 19th century rope-stropped double wooden pulley block, preserved in exact barn-fresh condition as found in an 18th century New Hampshire barn.
This heavy-duty block features a carved wooden shell housing two wooden sheaves, completely bound with thick natural fiber rope rigging and fitted with a large hand-forged wrought iron hanging hook. Excellent untouched patina throughout, showing deep grain, natural wood weathering, oxidation on the forged iron hook, and wear to the rope binding consistent with age and farm use.
Measures approximately 6 to 7 inches across the block width and roughly 10 inches in length (excluding top hook extension). Perfect for primitive farmhouse decor, nautical/maritime displays, architectural salvage, or antique tool collections.
