Please review our shipping policies, rates, and procedures below.

1. Order Processing Time

  • Processing Window: Orders are typically processed and packed within 1 to 3 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays) following payment verification.

  • Archival Handling: Because antique and vintage items require specialized, protective packaging (such as acid-free backing boards, archival sleeves, rigid mailers, or custom boxing), certain rare or oversized items may require additional preparation time. If a delay is anticipated, we will notify you via email.

2. Domestic Shipping (United States)

We offer standard and expedited shipping options within the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order.

  • Standard Shipping: Typically delivered via USPS Ground Advantage or Media Mail (applicable qualifying books only), taking approximately 3 to 7 business days after dispatch.

  • Expedited Shipping: Available at checkout via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground for faster delivery.

  • Signature Requirement: For high-value historical artifacts and rare items exceeding a certain dollar threshold, a signature upon delivery may be required for your protection.

3. International Shipping

We proudly ship our vintage paper and antiques worldwide to select countries.

  • Customs, Duties, and Taxes: International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local customs office prior to purchasing to understand potential fees.

  • Customs Declarations: All customs forms will accurately reflect the true purchase value of the item(s) in accordance with international law. We cannot mark items as "gifts."

4. Packaging and Protection

We know how important condition is to collectors. Every order is packed with archival-safe materials designed to protect delicate paper goods from bending, moisture, and impact during transit.

5. Shipping Delays & Carrier Issues

Once an order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, transit times are outside our control. The Vintage Paper Vault is not responsible for carrier delays, weather-related disruptions, or misdeliveries caused by incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout.

6. Insurance and Risk of Loss

  • Title and Risk: Risk of loss and title for all items purchased pass to you upon delivery of the items to the carrier.

  • Shipping Insurance: Standard shipping includes basic carrier tracking. High-value orders may include shipping insurance. If your package arrives visibly damaged, please retain all original packaging materials and contact us immediately with photographic evidence so we can assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
