Offered for sale is an antique amber glass medicinal bottle from Parke, Davis & Co. of Detroit, Michigan. The bottle is cork-stoppered and contains what appear to be the original compressed tablets.
The paper label on the front is largely intact and clearly reads:
"100 COMPRESSED TABLETS No. 198"
"UTERINE ASTRINGENT AND ANTISEPTIC."
The label details the contents of each tablet, including: "Morphine sulphate....... 1/20 gr."
The bottle measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and is in good antique condition with appropriate wear to the label and glass commensurate with age. The contents are sold as a historical collectible only and are not for consumption.
