Item Specifics
Brand: F.A. Clauberg (New York)
Model: Tonsorial Gem
Origin: Made in Germany
Handle Material: Celluloid (Faux Ivory)
Included: Original two-piece cardboard box with inspection label
Description
Sourced for The Vintage Paper Vault, this antique F.A. Clauberg straight razor carries the quiet weight of a bygone era. Stamped "Tonsorial Gem" on one side of the tang and "F.A. Clauberg / New-York / Made in Germany" on the reverse, this carbon steel blade rests in a pale celluloid handle secured by a tarnished brass pin.
The razor is housed in its original, heavily weathered cardboard coffin box. A faded paper slip still clings to the inner tray, issuing a stark warning that "broken or misused razors will not be replaced." The steel blade itself bears a dark, unpolished patina with scattered oxidation and surface rust, retaining a raw, historical edge that fits perfectly into a macabre display or a dark curiosities cabinet.
Please review all photos to inspect exact blade edge condition, tang stamps, and the structural wear on the original box.
