Up for sale is a fantastic vintage pharmaceutical extract bottle: a one-fourth pint (118 cc.) amber glass container of Fluid No. 333 Orange Peel, Soluble (For Making Syrup), manufactured by Eli Lilly & Co., Indianapolis, U.S.A.
The bottle features its clean original green-and-white paper label with classic red Lilly script branding. The label details that this is a terpeneless, artificially colored extract containing 45 percent alcohol, intended for extemporaneous pharmacy use and general pharmaceutical flavoring, complete with instructions for mixing unofficial Syrup Orange.
