Offered is a rare Victorian souvenir view book titled "Twenty Four Views of Portland & Weymouth", published by W.T. Wallis, Portland.
This landscape-format miniature volume features detailed steel engravings of coastal Dorset landmarks, including Portland Castle, Portland & Chesil Beach, Sandfoot Castle, the Isle of Portland, St. John's Church & Parsonage, and Weymouth from the Pier. Engravings are credited to J.S. & Co.
Condition: Good antique condition overall. Original reddish-brown cloth boards show minor corner/edge wear and rubbing along the spine. Internal pages remain tight with light age-toning and minor foxing/off-setting typical for 19th-century paper stock. Features a period hand-written ownership inscription dated July 30, 1877 on the front paste-down/flyleaf.
